Tiptree Choral Society will be performing its Christmas concert: Benjamin Britten’s ‘St Nicholas’, a work based on the life of the legendary St Nicholas, bishop of Myra and first played for the opening concert of the very first Aldeburgh Festival in 1948, followed by ‘Sunrise Mass’ by Ola Gjeilo, a Norwegian composer currently working in New York. Tenor: Michael Savage Chelmsford Cathedral Choristers Accompanied once again by the excellent Kingfisher Sinfonietta all under the baton of well-known Musical Director Malcolm Boulter, this is a concert not to be missed.
