Tiptree Choral Society, conducted by Malcolm Boulter and accompanied by David Leveridge, is hosting a ‘Prom in the Barn’ at Park House Farm, Layer Marney (CO5 9UH), by courtesy of Mr and Mrs Strathern.

They will be joined by the Essex Concert Band under their Musical Director Francis Garland, for an evening of shared music of different styles, culminating in the traditional ‘last night of the Proms’ manner. Please note that to make the most of daylight, the concert starts at 7:00pm. Gates open at 6:00pm.

This concert takes place in a barn on a working farm. No chairs are provided, so please bring your own chair (and blanket – there is no door!) We request you use low backed chairs to allow clear views for all. This is an informal event with no refreshments offered so you are welcome to bring your own and enjoy a picnic to eat during the concert if you wish - no tables though please!

Pre-paid printed tickets will be available starting 1st June from choir members and must be purchased prior to the event – there is no facility at the Barn for on the door sales. Online ticket sales from 21st May.
